Do you want a varied role where you can combine service, planning, and responsibility to create a welcoming and memorable experience for guests? As the Reception Manager at First Camp, you will play a central role in the operation and help create comfort, structure, and quality in everything related to the guest's stay. Here, you will combine service and administration with planning and team leadership – in a role where no day is the same, and where you have the opportunity to influence both the guest experience and the team's work.

Who is First Camp?

First Camp is Northern Europe's leading camping company with over 70 destinations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Germany. We are on a strong growth journey and have developed from approximately 100 million SEK in revenue in 2016 to over 1 billion SEK in just a few years – thanks to both expansion and acquisitions.

With over 2,500 employees, we work together towards a common vision: to create the world's leading camping chain and deliver memorable experiences for our guests – every day.

What does the role entail?

As the Reception Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the reception and shop and be a key person in the destination's leadership team. The role combines operational work with planning, team leadership, and development – where you both lead the daily work and drive improvements in service, hospitality, and sales.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and distributing the daily work in the reception and shop, focusing on service, hospitality, and efficient operations.

  • Ensuring staffing, quality, and a welcoming guest experience from the first contact to checkout.

  • Driving upselling and shop operations, including product flow, pricing, and display.

  • Coaching and supporting seasonal staff in service, work methods, and sales.

  • Managing bookings, guest communication, and simpler administration such as reporting and invoicing.

  • Contributing to the destination's commercial goals through sales activities and collaboration with corporate clients and occupancy.

  • Actively participating in improvement work and the development of routines, service, and internal processes.

  • Collaborating closely with the Destination Manager and other departments to ensure a well-functioning whole.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a service-minded and responsible team leader who thrives in a role where operational work is combined with planning, coaching, and development. The role suits you if you have a natural holistic perspective, enjoy taking initiative, and want to contribute to the development of both people and the business.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • Experience in reception work, preferably from the hospitality industry, hotels, or camping.

  • Good administrative skills and experience with booking systems.

  • Very good IT skills and good communication skills in both Swedish and English.

  • Driver's license and the ability to use the destination's vehicles for work.

  • The ability to plan, structure, and lead work.

Experience in team leadership, sales, or B2B contacts is an advantage.

As a person, you are positive, unpretentious, and solution-oriented – you see opportunities where others see challenges. With a natural sense of service, you thrive in meeting both guests and colleagues and build trust through your engagement. Initiative and responsibility come naturally to you, and you motivate others through your way of contributing and collaborating. Together with your colleagues, you build a culture of joy and community where both guests and the team thrive.

What do we offer?

With us, you get to be part of an ambitious company with both heart and forward-thinking. The role gives you the opportunity to influence, develop, and grow – while working closely with both people and the business.

Our shared values guide our daily actions:

We Care – We work together with care for the guest, the employee, and the planet. We create an open and supportive environment where we challenge each other, learn from mistakes, and celebrate successes.

We Have Fun – By being ourselves and having fun together, we create a welcoming atmosphere for everyone we meet. Together, we create wonderful memories for our teams, colleagues, and guests.

We Simplify – Forward-thinking, along with the desire to learn, means that we constantly improve and develop how we work. We make it easy for each other – it should be easy to do the right thing for both colleagues and our guests.

We Deliver Results – We focus on creating results for our guests, colleagues, and the entire company in everything we do. The goals are set high, and we succeed best when we use both heart and mind.

We offer a workplace with good opportunities for development and caring colleagues who share wisdom and laughter. Together, we want to continue our success story and grow with more stars who want to help build our future.

Conditions

The position is a full-time temporary contract and is covered by a collective agreement with an initial probation period. Salary and conditions are according to agreement. The work involves some weekend and evening work as well as shared on-call duty.

Application

Selection and interviews are ongoing, so do not wait to submit your application if this sounds like the right opportunity for you.

We work competency-based in our recruitment and focus on finding the person who best matches the job requirements. For final candidates in the process, a criminal record extract may be requested.

As a first step in our selection process, you may be required to complete recruitment tests that help us ensure a fair and accurate match.

Open to all
We focus on your skills, not your other circumstances. We are open to adapting the role or workplace to your needs.
